WHAT TO EXPECT
DAY OF TOUR
you will head down to our office at checkin time here at Port Allen Marina Center to join us on our power catamaran ‘Imiloa. Check-in with our reservation staff and get ready to depart. Make sure you have everything you need. Sunblock, hats, sunglasses, towels, bathing suit, & a light jacket for the wind. If you forgot anything we have plenty of options in our retail store.
YOUR CAPTAIN
will brief you on the vessel, the day’s weather, and his/her plan for the trip. You will be introduced to your three friendly crew-mates as they help you get seated and ready for departure. Our experienced, US Coast Guard Licensed Captain will entertain you on this journey with history and legends of Kauai and marine life ecology. Humpback whale watching is fabulous during the months of December thru April and a highlight of any tour. The afternoon lighting makes for excellent photographic opportunities of this majestic coastline
ONCE YOU’RE UNDERWAY
As we head up north to NaPali along the south west coast of Kauai you’ll see views of the island of Niihau and the ridges of Kokee, Waimea State Park in the distance and chance encounters with pods of playful dolphins playfully skimming the waters at our bows. Napali means the cliffs, it’s an amazing sight from offshore to gaze upon 3,500 foot heights, lush valleys, cascading waterfalls, sea caves and pristine beaches along this remote wilderness coastline.
OUR DESTINATIONS HAVE SO MUCH TO OFFER.
Napali Coast:
It is almost impossible to not notice the first peeks of the Napali Coast that starts at the end of Polihale State Beach Park. A long white sand beach ending in a sheer towering cliff face. The Napali Coast only gets more magnificent from that point on. The mountains get taller and you start to feel smaller as you enter this prehistoric remote part of our planet. Photos really don’t do it justice. Sea caves, waterfalls, lush valleys, and beautiful sea birds.
South Shore (Kipu Kai):
Some people call this part of the Island our mini Napali, but it truly has its own magic to offer. Green like you have never seen and towering peeks that meet the water’s edge. Beautiful remote beaches and great opportunities for photos.
IF THE SEA INVITES US TO SNORKEL
we have everything you need. Masks, snorkels, fins and floatation devices. If you require a prescription mask please notify our crew or Captain before departure. Kauai varies in snorkeling visibility. Somedays the ocean is crystal clear while other days can be a little murky. This never seems to affect the abundance of fish or visits from the local sea turtles. After exploring the coast, our warm Hawaiian water is just too inviting not to jump in.
Snorkeling can really make you hungry. When you get back on board, dry off and take your seat for our crew who will be handing out lunch and drinks. (Beer & Wine Coming 2020!).
AFTER AN AMAZING DAY ON THE WATER
the cruise home will be complemented with some music and the continued beautiful scenery.
The whole team here at Kauai Sea Tours is dedicated to making sure your experience with us is the best possible. We like to thank all the hands that go into making this tour happen every day. We are so excited to have you join us and look forward to meeting you!
MAHALO!
